Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies: Fostering Sustainable Growth

Established in 2012, the Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of entrepreneurs who will drive sustainable national growth and development.

Vision (2030): To be recognized as a leading model Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies in Africa and globally by 2030.

Mission: To proactively provide a stable framework for the research, teaching and learning of entrepreneurial processes, structures, environments and individuals aligned with national development and NUC strategy for sustainable entrepreneurial development.

Philosophy: Centered on innovation, resilience and community impact — guiding operations and ensuring the Centre remains at the cutting edge of entrepreneurial education.

Our Sections

Leatherworks

Fostering craftsmanship in leather production including shoe making, bags and accessories.

Ingestible Laboratory

Training in safe production and testing of consumable products and food items.

Non-ingestible Laboratory

Creating and analyzing industrial products like soap, cream and sanitizers.

Driving School

Empowering students with essential driving skills and road safety education.

Fashion & Designing

Cultivating talent in tailoring, fashion design and modern clothing creation.

ICT (Information & Comm. Tech.)

Providing hands-on training in computing, software applications and digital literacy.
