On Wednesday, the 15th of May, 2024, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr, Ag. Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, received a comprehensive report from the University Committee on Interdenominational Services.

Recall that on 23rd January, 2024, Prof. Omenugha had inaugurated the committee, charging them with the task of creating guidelines for interdenominational services and nurturing the religious culture within the university community.

Responding to this mandate, the committee, led by Chairman Rev. Fr. Prof. Eugene Anowai, presented a thorough report and a manual aimed at shaping the religious activities of the university. “We are here to deliver the mandate entrusted to us, which we titled Adveniat Regime Tuum (Thy Kingdom Come)” remarked Rev. Fr. Prof. Anowai.

Expressing her joy, Prof. Omenugha emphasized the importance of embedding the university’s foundation in spirituality, stating, “…if we cannot anchor our university in faith, our endeavors are futile.” She highlighted the anticipated benefits of the manual, foreseeing a closer connection to spirituality for the university community.

Prof. Omenugha commended the committee for their dedication, commitment and alacrity in delivering on their task, acknowledging their indispensable role in achieving this great success.
