OUR DRIVE AND COMMITMENT TO DUTIES MUST BE UNMATCHED; Prof. Omenugha Charges Newly Appointed Committee Members

The Ag. Vice Chancellor, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr, has charged the newly appointed Members of the University Committee On Office and Open Spaces, and School Fees Drive and Examination Committee, to embrace service to the university and give their best at it through drive and commitment to duty.

 

She made the statement while inaugurating the Committees from London through a Google Meet on Wednesday 23rd April 2024. She extolled Members of the Committees for their willingness to serve the University at this time emphasizing the need for team spirit and inclusivity.

“…the Now University and of the Future as we profess, must be that which would be ready to leverage on disruptive innovations in technology. We have continued to encourage ourselves to brace up for these innovations and drive our work regardless of location. This is the way to go and I hope we are excited to be part of this process of e-administration. We must advance with the world and ensure that going forward, distance will never be a barrier…”

“… the inaugurated Committees are very important to us and we are not leaving anyone behind. Our goal is to give Awards to the best Committee(s) at the end of the year and that would only be possible through hard work and dedication. The Quality Assurance Directorate will work together with the Ethics Committee to ensure we get the best in the true sense of it…” she said.

Prof. Bruno Ibekilo will serve as the Chairman of the Office and Open Spaces Committee while Dr. Gideon Nwafor, will Chair, the School Fees Drive and Examination Monitoring Committee.

Present at the inauguration include; the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administration, Prof. M. O. Ananti; the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academics, Prof. Osita Chiaghanam; the Ag. Bursar, Dr. Nath Udezo; the Ag. Librarian, Dr. Uche Enweani.

Others were the Chairman, of the University Ethics Committee, Dr. Ndubuisi Emegha; the Director, of Quality Assurance, Prof. Ogonna Ifebi; and the University’s Public Relations Officer, Dr Harrison Madubueze.
