Biography

Arc Okoye BSA is a graduate of architecture and urban & regional planning from University of Nigeria (B Arch, 1981;MURP, 2006). He is currently a doctoral degree student in architecture department at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU). He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects; Registered with Architects Registration Council of Nigeria; Member, Nigerian Environmental Society. He served in Architects Registration Council of Nigeria Council (2010-2013).

He is an architect/teacher with experience in private practice and is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. His research interests are in the areas of housing, facilities management and building maintenance.

He has worked in committees and held several leadership positions in professional, institutional, religious and community organizations. Within the university, these include being Acting Director Works and Physical Planning Director for the University (2005-2007). Lecturer in Department of Architecture (2007 till date). Head, Department of Architecture (2009 – 2013). Doubled as Head of Architecture Department and Acting Director of Physical Planning 2011 -2013).

Arc Okoye is married to Mrs Ifeoma Josephine Okoye and they are blessed with children.
