BSc Admission

BSc Programme:

The degree programme has the following modes of admission:

JAMB

This type of admission is by the University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). To be eligible for admission, a candidate must possess at least five (5) credits in the West African School Certificate Examinations or its equivalent, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any other two (2) from Chemistry, Fine Arts/Technical Drawing, Geography, Economics, Woodwork, Biology, Agricultural Science, obtained at not more than two sittings. University Tertiary Matriculation Examination papers must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any of the other subjects listed above.

 

DIRECT ENTRY

Direct entry candidates are admitted to the 200 level of the programme and they must possess one of the following qualifications:

  1. Ordinary National Diploma of recognised polytechnics with Upper Credit in Architecture, in addition to basic Departmental entry requirements.
  2. Higher National Diploma with Lower credit candidates as in (a) above
  3. Higher National Diploma with Upper credit in Architecture may be admitted into 300 level after due interview and portfolio examinations.
