Biography

Dr Munonye is a graduate of architecture from the University of Nigeria (BSc Arch) and Abia State University (MSc Arch). He also holds a diploma in Project Management from the University of Winnipeg, Canada. A registered member of Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), he is a proficient teacher with experience in private practice and is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.

He also holds a Ph.D. (Arch) degree from the University of Salford, the United Kingdom with research interests focused on how occupants interact with their buildings; with a particular interest in thermal comfort in free-running buildings. Dr Munonye is a two-time H.R. Steward Scholarship recipient, 2012 and 2013, from the University of Winnipeg for outstanding academic performance. He has held many leadership positions within and outside the University.

He worked as a Property Assessment Officer with Manitoba Municipal Council and an Electoral Officer with the Manitoba Government, Canada. Dr Munonye is married to Dr (Mrs) Jane Munonye and they are blessed with children.
