Biography

Dr Agoha is a graduate of architecture from the Imo State University, Okigwe (now Abia State University, Uturu), Nigeria with Bachelor of Architecture, (BSc Arch); Master of Architecture, (MSc Arch). He also holds a Doctorate Degree in architecture (PhD Arch) from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State, Nigeria. A registered Architect of the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, (NIA), he is a lecturer with wide experience in private practice, consulting and is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Nigeria. His research interests are in the areas of Housing Finance, Community Architecture and Development, Spatial Design, Urban Design and Architectural education.

Dr Agoha has extensive training in project management, finance and education and is the Chair Board of Trustees of Home Owner-occupiers Association and Community and Neighbourhood Development Initiatives. He has worked in committees and held several leadership positions in professional, institutional, religious and community organisations and received several awards. Within the University, these include Head, Department of Architecture (2012-2014), Co-ordinator, Postgraduate Programme of Department of Architecture and Chairman Students Disciplinary Committee of the University (2013-2017).

He has been involved in editing and reviewing of several academic journals and conferences. He has attended, presented papers and chaired sessions in several national and international conferences including session Chairs for International Union of Architects annual congresses in Durban, South Africa, in 2014 and Seoul, South Korea in 2017.

Dr Agoha is married to Mrs Comfort Agoha and they are blessed with children.
