The National Association of Nigeria students NANS on May 28th 2012, at NDIC hall in Uli Campus, presented a giant Plaque, with the inscription “An award of honour as life patron” to the Vice Chancellor Anambra State University, Prof. F. U. Okafor.
In a colourful but brief ceremony attended by the Deputy vice Chancellor (Academics) Prof. Odiliora, the Acting Registration O.R.A Okechukwu, the University Librarian Dr. Norbert Agbanu, Deans of Faculties. And Head of Departments, the Vice Chancellor thanked the student body for the honour, and promised to work harder. In another development, the committee of Anambra State SUG presidents (CASSP) 2013 academic Sessions, honoured the Vice Chancellor. It was on 30th May 2013, at the senate Chambers Uli campus of ANSU.
The award to the Vice Chancellor, Prof F.U. Okafor, was in recongnilin of his Excellent leadership as the best Vice Chancellor, South East Nigeria.
In attendance were the D.V.C Academics Prof. Odilora, Provest College of Medicince, Prof. Akpuaka, Director Medical Centre Dr. Emma Ekwesianya and some other senior officers of the University.
