By Felix-Joe Chibunkem

In line with the 3V’s—Value, Viability, and Visibility—of the Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha-led administration at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), the University has continued to strengthen its commitment to transformative education through strategic participation in national development initiatives.

The University has been participating in a TETFund-sponsored training programme which is themed “Accelerating Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Nigerian Universities.” The event which started from 30th June is expected to come to an end on Friday, 4th of July, 2025 and it is holding at the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, Aguyi Ironsi Street, Mariana, Abuja.

Representing the University were Dr. E. O. Onyebueke, Dr. C. O. Aronu, and Mrs. Victoria M. Chidebelu. The training, is focused on innovation and entrepreneurship across Nigerian Universities, and it aligns with the University’s vision and strategy in delivering quality education that is exportable and one that inspires creativity and solutions-driven learning. It also affirms the Viability of the University’s academic mission, preparing graduates who are not only employable but capable of creating jobs and advancing national development.

Moreover, COOU’s representation at the training enhances the University’s Visibility on the national stage as a forward-looking institution committed to building an ecosystem of knowledge that directly benefits society.

Bearing in mind the 3V’s, COOU remains focused and our dreams are achievable.
