QUIZ COMPETITION: COMR. AMARACHI OKONKWO LEADS THE WAY IN PROMOTING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Since the assumption of office by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State, has witnessed a renewed commitment to academic excellence. This vision has not only inspired staff but has also found resonance among student leaders across the University.
One such exemplary student leader is the Secretary-General of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Comrade Amarachi Okonkwo, who has actively aligned with the Vice Chancellor’s academic vision. Demonstrating her commitment to intellectual development, she successfully organized an interdepartmental quiz competition themed “Learning Beyond Borders: Exploring Global Perspectives and Educational Approaches”, held on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025.
The event was co-hosted by Dr. Frank Igbojindu of the Akpoazaa Foundation and generously sponsored by the CEO of N-Unique Homes, Comrade Obi Wonder. The competition brought together bright minds from various departments in a display of knowledge and academic prowess.
At the end of the keenly contested event:
Emeghebi Christian from the Department of Medical Laboratory Science emerged as the winner,
Followed by Okoli Sochidizumma from the Department of Entrepreneurship,
And Obasi Greatness from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in third place.
We congratulate all the winners for their outstanding performance and commend Comrade Amarachi Okonkwo for a laudable and impactful initiative. She has indeed set the pace for student-led contributions to the University’s academic growth
