COOU Gets New Substantive Vice Chancellor: Prof. Kate Omenugha Confirmed by Governor Soludo

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State, proudly announces the confirmation of Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha as the Substantive Vice Chancellor of the university by the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR.

The formal letter of appointment was officially presented to Prof. Omenugha by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, during a brief ceremony held at the Light House, Awka.

Prof. Omenugha’s elevation to this substantive role comes after a period of remarkable service as Ag. Vice Chancellor, during which she spearheaded a series of transformative initiatives focused on academic excellence, digital innovation, staff development, global visibility, and student-centered leadership.

Her confirmation follows a rigorous, merit-based selection process, underscoring the commitment of the Soludo-led administration to integrity, excellence, and the future of higher education in the state.
