The Association of Professional Women Engineers, a division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Awka Chapter, held her 4th Chair Inauguration on November 29, 2024, at the ASUU Secretariat, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The event, themed “Leadership: Positioning and Overcoming Barriers,” marked the formal inauguration of Engr. Dr. Ifeyinwa Dimson, MNSE, MNIEE, as the 4th Chair of the Anambra State Chapter.
The Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, ably represented by Prof. Njideka Ebisi, congratulated the new Chair and the Women Engineers to sustain their efforts in repositioning for greater societal impacts while providing the best care for their families. She urged that as change agents, Women are the catalyst to a sustainable future.
“… as Women, we must know that we are resilient and for the society to move forward, it requires determination and doggedness which I encourage us to hold firmly. We must always improve and invest in ourselves to be ready for tomorrow’s uncertainties and always enthrone God in all we do…” she said.
