On May 24, 2025, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State, proudly conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Administration on High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi, KSJI—popularly known as Ikéngà Umuawulu. Prior to the conferment, the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, commissioned the ultra-modern Innovation Centre built and generously donated to the University by High Chief Ndubuisi. In his remarks, the Governor commended Ikéngà Umuawulu for his visionary contribution to nurturing innovation and excellence among Anambra’s youth.

Following the conferment ceremony, High Chief Dr. Ndubuisi Christopher, in company of his associates and well-wishers, embarked on an official tour of the facility—particularly the section dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Education, facilitated by BREDHUB UBTECH. The centre serves as a practical learning hub, equipping students with hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies relevant to today’s global digital economy.
Impressed by the live demonstrations and the level of student engagement, Ikéngà Umuawulu expressed deep admiration for the initiative. “This is truly remarkable,” he stated. “When the Anambra child steps into this centre to learn, they are not just acquiring skills—they are shaping their own future in an increasingly technologized world. Technology is the new gold.”

He further emphasized the importance of making such training accessible and affordable, especially for students passionate about building skills for the future. “I sincerely hope this training remains within reach for those who are eager to learn and grow,” he added, while commending the management of COOU and BREDHUB UBTECH for such a forward-looking initiative.

It is also worth noting that the High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi Innovation Centre does not only house the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Lab, but also serves as the base for other critical University units. These include the Research Management Office (RMO), the Collaboration and Linkages Unit (CLU), and the Data and Statistics Unit (DSU)—each playing a pivotal role in driving research, academic partnerships, and institutional data management.
Through this landmark donation and continued support, High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi has once again proven his consistent commitment to education, technological advancement, and the holistic development of the Anambra child. His legacy stands not just in buildings, but in the minds he is helping to build—minds that will power the future.
