We are proud of Dr. Johnbosco Egbueri, a Lecturer in the Department of Geology and an Associate Director of the Research Management Office (RMO) at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Anambra State, Nigeria, for his outstanding contribution to the Global Microplastics Challenges discourse.
Dr. Egbueri’s latest book, titled *Microplastics in African and Asian Environments: TheĀ Influencers,Ā Challenges,Ā andĀ Solutions* , has been published in the prestigious _Emerging Contaminants and Associated Treatment Technologies_ series by the _Springer Nature_ (Switzerland), a top-tier academic publisher. This remarkable academic work, co-edited by leading researchers, Engr. Joshua Ighalo (from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria/Kansas State University, USA) and Dr. Chaitanya Pande from the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, India, contributes to the microplastics discourse across the world with particular focus on Africa and Asia.
By addressing key socio-economic and environmental challenges, this book aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 3, 6, 12, 13, 14, and 15.
