On Thursday, 20th, 2024, the University Ethics Committee, established earlier this year during the Onboarding Session, and headed by Dr. Ndubuisi Emegha, visited Ag. Vice Chancellor Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha to present her with an award for her “Resolute Resolve against Unethical Practices” in the Now and of the Future.

This recognition is an acknowledgement to Prof. Omenugha’s commitment to aligning the university’s ethics and culture with its core policy framework of 3Vs; Values, Viability, and Visibility. She is one of the few Vice Chancellors who emphasize the importance of a strong ethical foundation in education.

COOUNewS notes Prof. Omenugha’s poignant statement: “Education without ethics simply means we are creating clever demons.” This award serves as an encouragement for her to continue her commendable work.

Congratulations to our University leader!
