Prof. Mathias Ozoemena Ananti

Professor Mathias Ozoemena Ananti is a distinguished academician holding the position of Professor of Public Administration at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State, Nigeria, since 2020. He began his academic journey at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in 1999 and 2004, respectively. In 2016, he furthered his academic pursuits by obtaining a Doctorate degree (PhD) from the Department of Public Administration at COOU, specializing in Human Resource Management.

Joining the service of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, formerly known as Anambra State University, in 2005, Professor M.O. Ananti steadily climbed the academic ladder, achieving the rank of Professor in 2020. Throughout his tenure, he has served in various pivotal roles, including Head of the Department of Public Administration from 2016 to 2018 and Dean of Student Affairs from 2018 to 2021.

In October 2021, Professor M.O. Ananti was elected as the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration and was re-elected to the same position in October 2023, a role he currently holds. 

As the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, he chairs several statutory committees within the university, including the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee, Junior Staff Disciplinary Committee, Students Disciplinary Committee, Senate Ceremonial Committee, and University Land Committee, among others.

Professor M.O. Ananti is a prolific scholar with numerous publications in reputable local and international journals, contributing significantly to the field of Public Administration and Human Resource Management. His dedication to academia and leadership roles highlights his commitment to advancing the university’s mission and fostering academic excellence.
