“… It is my pleasure and delight on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, Staff and Students of the University, to welcome Mr. Governor and Visitor to the University, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, on his visit to the Uli Campus of our University. We know how tight your schedules are, yet you came today to see us. Tomorrow 5th December 2024 will mark exactly one year I took over from my predecessor as the acting Vice Chancellor of this great citadel of learning and the rising university in the East of the Niger. It has been an eventful new year. Drawing inspiration from you, Mr Governor, we have always approached the nance of this university as an agenda with a deadline. Thus we have wasted governance no time in trying to reposition our university and re-brand it as “the Now University and of the Future”…”
