The visit, which was marked by goodwill and warm fellowship, had in attendance the DVC (Administration and Environmental Sustainability), Prof. Anselem Nweke; the DVC (Academics), Prof. Obiora Ejiofor; and the Ag. University Librarian, Dr. Uche Enweani.

Leading the delegation, the President of the Nnobi Welfare Organization, Dr. Ifeoma Ugbo, introduced members of the association and congratulated Prof. Omenugha on her emergence as the fifth substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University. She explained that the purpose of the visit was to identify with the Vice-Chancellor, offer prayers for her administration, and reassure her of the love and admiration she enjoys from her people.

Dr. Ugbo also expressed appreciation to the Visitor to the University, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, and the Governing Council for finding Prof. Omenugha worthy of the appointment, describing the decision as one that continues to yield visible results.

The NWO President further pledged the organization’s readiness to support the Vice-Chancellor in every possible way towards the continued growth of the University. Commending the remarkable transformation witnessed under her leadership, she noted that the Vice-Chancellor’s innovative ideas have translated into visible achievements across the institution. In her words, “E dey work, e dey show,” she remarked, praying that God would continually endow Prof. Omenugha with greater wisdom, strength, and fresh ideas to sustain the University’s upward trajectory.

As a mark of honour and appreciation, the delegation presented the Vice-Chancellor with the organization’s official uniform and other gifts. The visit also featured a special prayer session during which members committed the Vice-Chancellor and her administration into God’s hands, followed by songs of praise in celebration of her leadership.

Responding, Prof. Omenugha expressed profound gratitude to the Nnobi Welfare Organization for their thoughtful visit, prayers, and overwhelming show of love. The Vice-Chancellor warmly welcomed the delegation to the Now University and the University of the Future, stating that she was delighted to receive them. She particularly appreciated their prayers, emphasizing that she does not joke with the God factor and firmly believes that divine guidance has remained central to the successes recorded by her administration.

The courtesy visit concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Emeritus President of the Nnobi Welfare Organization, Mrs. Eruchahu Ada, who appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for the warm reception and prayed for greater accomplishments during her tenure.
