  • PROF. SIR MESHACK IFURUEZE B.Sc (Hons), MBA, MSC, PHD. CNA, ACTI, CPA.
    Meshack Ifurueze is a trained Accounting Teacher, a Certified Professional Accountant, a Chartered Tax Practitioner and a Consultant.
    Professor Meshack hails from Assah an Oil producing and borderline town with Rivers State in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.
    He attended Ohaji High School Mgbirichi between 1974 and 1979. He worked briefly as an Accounts Clerk with Ministry of defence as a Civilian staff under Nigeria Airforce Secondary School from where He was provoked to read Business Education majoring in Accountancy at the then Anambra State University now known as Enugu State University of Science and Technology between 1985 and 1999. He equally holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Accounting and an additional Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Finance from Lagos State University Ojo. To cap it all, he obtained his PhD in Accounting in 2006 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka.
    Professor Ifurueze started his Teaching career at Enugu State University of Science and Technology where He was the Best Graduating Master’s Degree Student of 1991 MBA class and was offered employment as Assistant Lecturer in April 1992, the same date he defended his Master’s Degree Dissertation. He taught briefly at Benue State Polytechnic as lecturer I and Federal Polytechnic Nekede as a Principal Lecturer. Fired with the ambition of being a Professor, he left the Polytechnics and joined Anambra State University in 2007 as a Senior Lecturer from where he became an Associate Professor in 2011 and a full erudite Professor of Accounting in 2014.
    He is an associate Member of Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN), chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and also a certified Public Accountant of Ireland.
    He has about 29 years Teaching and Research experience in University and related Higher Institutions of Learning in Nigeria during which he held administrative positions of responsibility such as:
    1. Associate Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies: 2010/2011 and 2012/2013 academic
    sessions:
    2. Head of Department of Accountancy, 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 academic sessions.
    3. Current Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, 2016 to 2018.
    4. Sabbatical leave, federal university, Otuoke, Bayesla State 2019 to 2020.
    5. Board member, Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. 2017 to 2020.
    He has four accounting textbooks to his credit, Co-authored one, has chapter contributions in two and has published extensively in more than fifty five (55) pier reviewed articles in journal both internationally and locally. He is married to Dr Mrs. Priscellia Ifurueze and they are blessed presently with five children.
    He is a knight of St. Christopher, a lay Reader of the Anglican Communion and was recently conferred with the award of 2017 SYNOD FATHER of Ohaji/Egbema Diocese.
