  • About Yourself

  • I, Earnest Oghenesuvwe Erhirhie hail from Orogun, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. I hold a PhD and MSc degrees in Pharmacology and Toxicology both from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Pharmacology Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. Lab. Tech) from Delta State University, Abraka. As a Lecturer, Researcher and Administrator in Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), I have been privileged to serve as Faculty Examination Officer 2019/2020 session, Associate Dean (2019/2020 and 2020/2021 session), Faculty Representative at the Senate, Member of School fees and Examination Monitoring Standing Committee, Member of the Committee on University ranking, and Secretary of Animal Research Ethics Committee, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, where I have contributed to the smooth running of the Faculty and entire University. As a growing researcher, my keen research interest is in Toxicology, Systemic Pharmacology and Ethnopharmacology. My impact to the scientific community is attested by over fifty (50) publications of my research works in Ethnopharmacology, Pharmacology and Toxicology in peer reviewed local, national and international Journals that are indexed in Scopus, Thompson Reuters, Web of Science, Sci-mago, Pubmed, DOAJ, Index corpernicus, Google Scholars, ICMJE, Publons, among others. As at 26th May, 2022, my Google scholars profile has attracted 572 citations with h-index of 11. Attendance and presentation of research papers in scientific workshops/conferences organized by West African Society for Pharmacology (WASP), West African Society of Toxicology (WASOT) and Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (AISLT) as well as other hands-on workshops on data analysis, scientific writing and publishing have added leverage to my teaching and research skills. I love studying to discover new things and also collaborating with other researchers as an avenue to proffering solution to health related ailments perplexing humanity.
