  • Dr Angela Akanwa is an ardent researcher, a consultant, a Senior lecturer and presently the Head of Department (HOD) for the Department of Environmental Management, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) Uli, Anambra State, Nigeria. She is a researcher with focus on climate change, health risks, hazards/disaster risks, EIA studies, Erosion and #vegetation loss. As a consultant and a resource Person, she has contributed to the development of baseline studies and data gathering as well as being a facilitator to a consultancy firm handling monitoring and evaluation studies, environmental and social impact studies and report for the World Bank/NEWMAP Gully Erosion Projects in Anambra State 2016. She is a member of the Professional body of Environmental Management Association of Nigeria (EMAN). She has taught a variety of courses in Environmental Management both at the under graduate and postgraduate levels. She has worked in committees and held several leadership positions in professional, volunteer faith-based organisations and community projects both within and outside the university.
