Far away in Europe, the Public Relations Officer of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Dr. Harrison Madubueze, has been carrying the message of the University with him like a gospel, boldly showcasing the institution’s identity at an international conference for Public Administrators in Scotland.

Armed with University flags, fliers, branded shirts, pins, ties, and memorabilia, Dr. Madubueze projected COOU before the international community, reminding the world that Ojukwu University is here and ready to claim its place among leading global institutions. His effort reflects the redefined spirit of aggressive marketing that has become the hallmark of Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha’s administration.

Since assuming office, Prof. Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr has not only led as Chief Executive but has also styled herself as the Chief Marketer of COOU. She speaks COOU, wears COOU, sleeps COOU—her entire being radiates the University. This deliberate posture has shifted the psychic of the University community, instilling a renewed pride and sense of ownership. Today, COOU is no longer on the margins; it is rising boldly as the Now University and the University of the Future.

The Vice Chancellor’s 3Vs philosophy Values, Viability, and Visibility has given the institution a strong identity and repositioned it as a university of excellence. What was once overlooked or compared to sister institutions has now become a brand everyone proudly associates with.
