Swift Ngozi Kenneth Onyegirim is a Mechanical Enger/Production / Industrial Engineer. He rose from graduate member G4719 to a co-operate member of Nigeria society of Engineers N0 36369 and also fully registered with COREN N0 (R1,33,786). He has been graced with many awards of honor, out of hard work and dedication in his field of endeavor and as per social services. He has served the University from 4th Nov 2015 to date as Assistant Lecturer to Lecture II, I and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, C O O U Uli. Formally, Anambra State University Uli. He has also served in the Department from his duty resumption as Departmental Exams Officer 2005-2008, As final year project. And SIWES Co-ordinator from 2005-2014.

His research is in Science, Technology, Education and Engineering with Special interest in Mechanical, Production /Industrial Engineering. He has published many of his research work in referred journals and proceedings. He became a Senior Lecturer since 2014-date in the Mechanical Engineering Dept of C.O.O.U. He has taught many courses in the University/Department and Faculty of Engineering as Materials science Engineering, Strength of Materials, Thermodynamics I, Engineering Economic Analysis, Engineering Entrepreneurship I&II, Strength of Materials II, Machine design I & II, Tribology and Vehicle Dynamics, Materials Science Education, Auto-Mech Education, Metal Tech Education, Fluid Mechanics I, Power Plant Engineering and Productivity & Works study analysis and Engineering Management and Law.
Presently, he teaches Engineering Economic, Analysis: Tribology and Vehicle dynamics, Strength of Materials II, Engineering Entrepreneurship I and Productivity and Work-Study Analysis in the undergraduate class. In the postgraduate class, he presently teaches Materials Science Engineering, Advanced Strength of Materials, Engineering Management, Law and Entrepreneurship ,Machine design, Power Plant Engineering, Advanced Heat Treatment, Energy Conservation and Management, Advanced Strength of Materials, Tools Engineering, Manufacturing Automation, and Process Engineering and Technology all in COOU (former Anambra State University – Uli).
He is advisor to both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering of the University under whom many have graduated. One time Departmental P.G. Co-ordinator Mechanical, 2010 – 2015. And has served in many committees in the University and Faculty of Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Department, including the present Faculty of Engineering Conference, present chairman Welfare Committee, and present member, University-Malpractice Monitoring Committee, 2017. He has a keen interest in teaching and learning- as he promotes quality enhancement of teaching and coordinates learning in the Department and Faculty of Engineering.
He is experienced in Engineering with special interest in Mechanical; Manufacturing Process: Metallurgy and Materials Engineering and Auto-bias.
Prior to joining COOU, he has taught and worked in these special areas of endeavor. Education officer 11 – 1 FSTC. Orozo- Abuja, Vice Principal ADMIN Gaadi Comprehensive College Markurdi, Benue State. Assist – workshop Manager A.C. Motors and Machine Motors Aba respectively.

He holds M.Eng. in Production/Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Minna, a PGD. In Mech. Engineering. From Fed. University of Agriculture Makurdi, Benue State; NCE TECH Education from Rivers State College of Education, B. Ed. Tech from University of Ibadan; and a H.N.D in Mechanical Engr. From Osun State College of Technology, Esa-oke Osun State Nigeria.

He is honest and diligent with special interest and commitment in his services and aspires for better services to the University at large, hence he has completed his Ph.D course work in the university as he is busy with his project work for completion.
He is also a Community Leader in the capacity of Cabinet/Palace secretary of his Autonomous Community in Isi-Ala-Mbano L.G.A. Imo State. Nigeria.
