Professor Ogochukwu Roseline Ifeka (born 7 th April, 1964) is a trained literary
Critic. She is currently a Lecturer in Chukwuemeka Ọdụmegwu Ojukwu University in the
Department of Linguistics /Igbo Language. She was a chapter treasurer of Academic
staff Union of Universities (A.S.U.U) in the University from 2012-2014. She headed the
Department of Linguistics/Igbo as the Head of Department, from 2012-2015. She held
the office of Coordinator of GS 210 (Basic Communication in Igbo Language) in
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu University from 2012-2016.
EDUCATION AND PERSONAL LIFE
Ogochukwu Roseline Ifeka is from Alor, Anambra State. The last child of Late Pa Lazarus
Omemgboji and late Ezinne Edith Omemgboji of Umuokwu Village, Alor. She was
educated in Agai Primary School, Fegge-Onitsha 1976, Queen of the Rosary College
Onitsha in 1983. She got her Teacher Grade II Certificate in 1986; she also got her
Nigeria Certificate in Education in 1990. Her Bachelor Degree in Education Admin/Igbo
was obtained in 1997. She got her Masters Degree in 2004 and Doctoral Degree in 2010
both (MA & Ph. D) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. She is married with
five children and grand children.
CAREER
She started as a primary school teacher from 1992-1994 at Community Primary School
Odoakpu-Onitsha as an N.C.E holder. She was later upgraded to Secondary School in
1995 and taught in Modebe Memorial Secondary School, Onitsha from 1995-2002. She
served at the Zonal Office of the Anambra State Education Commission, Onitsha Zone
from 2002-2007. But in 2007 she got Lecturing appointment in Chukwuemeka
Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra state as assistance lecturer and presently has
risen to the rank of Professor of Igbo in the Institution.
