  • Ibeh, Kelechi Godwin is a dedicated researcher, scholar and passionate teacher. His journey in environmental conservation, sustainability and protection began after finishing his secondary education at Konigin Des Friedens College Uga, Anambra State. He enrolled in the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Forestry and Wildlife Technology, with second-class honours, upper-division (GPA of 3.93 of 5 points) in 2014. After graduation, he taught Agricultural Science and Geography at Comprehensive Secondary School, Ozaa, Abia State. In a quest to expand his knowledge in forestry and strengthen his academic journey, Kelechi proceeded to the University of Ibadan, Nigeria where he got his Master’s degree in Forest Biology and Silviculture with Distinction (GPA of 6.6 of 7 points) and as one of the two best students in 2017. Before joining the University (COOU), he worked as Airtel Customer Care Representative (Call centre agent), iSON BPO, Ibadan, Oyo state and as the Chief Editor and Creative Director at Sons Digital Press, a renowned publishing firm in Umuahia, Abia State. He has been involved in local and international training, research and publications. He is a life member of the Forestry Association of Nigeria (FAN), a member of Commonwealth Forestry Association, (Nigerian Chapter) and the International Society of Tropical Foresters (ISTF) global.
    Kelechi has served on various committees in the department, faculty and university community at large, including Secretary, Committee on beautification and University landscaping; Secretary, Departmental Examination Committee and member, Faculty committee on oil palm plantation establishment and management. Currently, he is the Faculty Course Coordinator for General Agriculture (AGR 201), Departmental Examination Officer, ICT coordinator, Course Adviser for 400-level students and Staff Adviser for Forestry and Wildlife Students Association (FOWSA). He strives for excellence, ready to learn and collaborate at all times.
