  • About Yourself

  • Professor Mary Felicia Opara was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2014. She obtained her BSc degree in Chemistry and Microbiology from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 1981 and PGDE from the same University in 1982. She obtained her MEd in Guidance and Counseling in 1996 and thereafter in 2000 she bagged a PhD in Science Education (Chemistry) from same UNN. She has written 10 books and published up to 50 journal articles. She is a Fellow of STAN, a fellow of two other Associations and a member of other Professional Bodies. She has supervised and is still supervising PhD and Masters thesis. Her research interest are on chemistry Education, cognitive Education and gender studies. She is a finally religious sister of the Institute of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Mother of Christ.
