  • Prof. Uju Patricia Egenti (Nee Udoyeh) is a native of Abatete in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. She is a Professor of Family Counselling in the Department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of Education, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State.

    Uju obtained her Bachelor of Education Degree in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Master of Education and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees in Guidance and Counselling from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.

    Uju Egenti is an academic to the core and aspires to significantly contribute towards the achievement of sustainable global family development especially the development of the African Continent. With family counselling as her area of specialization, she is an ardent advocate of family cohesiveness. She gets highly inspired for researches that can enhance family development, women and youth empowerment, good governance and environmental sustainability. She has attended some academic conferences and has written a textbook and quite a number of journal articles that have been published in both local and international journals. She is a member of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON), Nigeria Council of Educational Psychologists (NCEP), Forum for African Women Educationists (FAWE) and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). She is the former Head, Department of Educational Foundations, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State.
    Uju has deep regard for honesty, self discipline, integrity and dignity of labour. She is happily married with children.
