EZE AKAJIOFO IGBO NIILE HOSTS UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the esteemed University Management, led by the Ag. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr, alongside her husband, Dr. Michael Omenugha, Etuo Dike na Iduu Eri Kingdom, paid a courtesy visit to the revered Eze of Iduu Eri Kingdom, Eze A.E. Chukwuemeka Eri, Ezeora XXXIV, Eze Akajiofo Igbo Niile, at his opulent residence.

In his address, the Eze of Iduu Eri Kingdom commended the Ag. Vice Chancellor for her remarkable contributions, likening her to influential women worldwide who are effecting positive change. He offered prayers for her continued success and emphasized the importance of collaborative leadership within the university management.

Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, expressing gratitude for the warm reception by Eze Chukwuemeka Eri, reaffirmed her commitment to elevating Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. She fondly recalled their shared history of educational development and highlighted the traditional ruler’s passion for education in the community. She was honored with the title “Ugommuta na Iduu Eri Kingdom” in recognition of her dedication.

Acknowledging the significance of the occasion, Prof. Omenugha assured the community of the university’s bright future under her leadership and extended appreciation to Governor Prof. Charles Soludo for entrusting her with the responsibility.

In a gesture of gratitude, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Prof. Osita Chiaghanam, thanked Eze Akajiofo for his blessings and affirmed the university’s unrelenting support. He noted the positive impact of Prof. Omenugha’s tenure on the institution.

 

Among the university representatives present were Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Prof. Mathias Ananti, Acting Bursar, Dr. Nath Udezo, Director of Special Duties, Mrs. Ngozi Onuorah, former Head of Department of Sociology, Dr. Njideka Ebisi, and Public Relations Officer, Dr. Harrison Madubueze.
