1. Information to Graduands
This is to inform the 2019/2020, 2020/2021, 2021/2022, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024 Graduands of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State, Parents/Guardians, Alumni, Friends, Stakeholders of the University, and the Public that activities marking the 11th - 15th Combined Convocation ceremonies for the award of First Degrees, Higher Degrees, as well as Honorary Degrees (Honoris Causa) and other honours will take place from Tuesday, 20th – Saturday, 24th May, 2025. The University will also celebrate its Silver Jubilee (25th Anniversary) during the week.

5. Convocation Fees & Mode of Payment
- First Degree: N25,000
- M.Sc and PGD: N70,000
- Ph.D (incl. gown and items): N120,000
Mode of Payment
- Visit: portal.coou.edu.ng
- Click on the Sundry button
- Select “payment” from the drop-down
- Generate a payment invoice and pay online or at a bank
- Print your Remita payment receipt to collect materials
6. General Notice to All Graduands
- First Degree Graduands must pay the stipulated convocation fee during clearance.

7. General Information & Security Tips
- Participation in the academic procession and approved regalia is mandatory.
- Dress Code:
- 👔 Men: Suit, shirt, and tie
- 👗 Ladies: Suit, skirt & blouse, gown, or full national dress
- Undergraduate regalia are obtained from respective Faculties/Departments; Postgraduate items from the School of Postgraduate Studies, Igbariam Campus.
- Distribution Date: Convocation materials will be distributed from Friday, 2nd May 2025.
- Graduands must present proof of payment before collection.
- Procession Point: Administrative Building, Igbariam Campus.
- Return Deadline: Academic gowns must be returned by Friday, 30th May 2025 or a fine of ₦50,000 applies.
- Payment Opens: Tuesday, 15th April 2025
- Bags and luggage are not allowed in the Convocation Arena.
- Park your vehicle only in designated areas.
- Always follow instructions from security personnel.
- Hawking or selling near the Convocation Arena is strictly prohibited.
